Rudy Fecteau

Receives ARS Bronze Medal

At the chapter picnic on June 27, 2010, Rudy Fecteau was presented the ARS Bronze Medal in recognition for his fine service as the chapter webmaster. Rudy created the first chapter website in 2002 at a time when it was not so easy and has maintained it since. Our thanks go to Rudy.

"In recognition of your dedicated efforts as Webmaster, your Plant Sale endeavors, your friendship and sense of humor, your generous baking of ham entrees and teaching of computer skills, and your contributions of superb rhododendron photography." Our appreciation for his dedicated service, kindness, friendship and willingness to help wherever needed, especially as the chapter's webmaster for all these years is great and we are most grateful to Rudy. So it is with affection that we present this award at the June Picnic on June 27, 2010.

•• 2010 ARS Western Regional Conference

This year we will have the opportunity to have both the 2010 ARS Western Regional Conference and the 2011 ARS National Convention close to home. For information on the 2010 Western Regional Conference, you can use the conference website (click on "conference website") or see the insert in the ARS Summer Journal due out in July.

The 2011 ARS National Convention will be hosted by ARS District 4 (the Oregon chapters)

and will be held in Vancouver, Washington, on May 12-15. Throughout the year updates will be posted on the ARS Eugene Website and in the ARS Journal.
