On Monday, April 26, 2010, several members of the chapter visited the O.H. Hinsdale Garden on the Umpqua River near Reedsport. The BLM has done an excellent job of cleaning out the brush and limbing up the large native trees to allow more light to the old rhododendrons. This has prompted a good deal of new growth at the base of many plants and reinvigorated the plants to flower well. It is amazing to see this garden respond after decades of neglect. Enjoy the slide show.
